What is SexValues Legacy?
SexValues is a short browser questionnaire for reflecting on personal preferences. If you searched for “sexvalues github io”, the destination is sexvalues.github.io, whose current entry is labeled Legacy. NavSprout includes it in Knowledge & discovery for readers who want to examine a questionnaire’s framing and decide what a result can actually tell them. It is a reflective exercise, not a recommendation to adopt the site’s labels.

Why it’s here
A useful outcome is a clearer question about yourself, not a more impressive result chart. Notice which statements feel ambiguous, which labels fail to fit, and whether the displayed axes simplify something you experience differently. You can stop whenever the exercise no longer feels useful.
Start by reading the framing
Before pressing Start, read the Legacy disclaimer and axis descriptions. The homepage says the project is unfinished and anticipates replacement. We verified the current entry rather than a successor. There are five dimensions—Attraction, Sex Drive, Dominance, Deviance and Affection—but that selection is an editorial model built into a quiz, not an exhaustive map of a person.
Take one small first step
Open the instructions and inspect the answer controls before committing to the whole questionnaire. Our check reached Question 1 of 27 and confirmed agreement levels, Neutral, Don’t Know/Understand and Back controls. We did not provide answers. If you proceed, distinguish genuine disagreement from a statement you do not understand; an ambiguous prompt is a limitation worth noticing rather than a demand to force a response.
Read bars as prompts, not verdicts
The quiz converts answers into paired percentage scores. A percentage is not a confidence estimate or a share of the general population. Ask which wording led you toward a bar, whether the opposed labels capture your experience, and what the chart leaves out. Some labels use stereotypes or value-laden terms. You do not need to accept them as a personal identity or a ranking of acceptable preferences.
Pause at the feedback screen
The feedback page separates a demographic questionnaire, a shorter contribution and a route that continues without optional contribution. In the published code, agreeing can send answers and calculated percentages to an external service. We did not test that transmission. Read the exact choice rather than assuming that skipping the extra questions also declines all result contribution. Analytics is disclosed separately on the homepage.
Read the official source ↗Keep any result sharing deliberate
The results page reconstructs scores from its address parameters. A link may carry personal information even when no account is involved. Before sending it to someone, decide whether you want to share the scores, just discuss a question, or keep the exercise private. A quiz result is never evidence of another person’s consent, boundaries or compatibility.
Read the official source ↗A thoughtful first visit
- Read the Legacy notice and decide whether this framing is useful to you.
- Inspect the instructions and response choices without answering first.
- If you continue, note unclear wording rather than treating every prompt as authoritative.
- Pause before optional feedback and choose deliberately whether to contribute data.
- Read the axes separately and identify at least one limitation of the labels.
- Inspect the result address before copying or sharing it.
SexValues Legacy FAQ
Where is the SexValues GitHub io quiz?
The linked project is hosted at https://sexvalues.github.io/ and currently displays SexValues Legacy.
What is a useful reason to try it?
It can prompt private reflection on how you interpret statements and labels. It should not decide your identity, relationships or health.
Do I have to complete it?
You can leave the browser exercise whenever you wish. Our review inspected the entry and opening controls without supplying personal answers.
What does a high score mean?
It reflects this quiz’s calculation on one side of an axis. It is not a medical finding, population ranking or a complete account of your preferences.
Does skipping the extra survey mean no data is contributed?
The public implementation has separate contribution choices. A shorter affirmative route can still send answers and percentages, so read the buttons carefully. Declining optional contribution does not remove separately disclosed analytics.
What did NavSprout verify?
We checked the live homepage, instructions, opening 27-question interface and public feedback/results code. We did not finish a quiz, submit personal responses or verify server-side data retention.

12 Axes is a different values questionnaire. Compare its framing rather than treating scores from unrelated tests as equivalent.
